About Me

I'm a writer and musician, focusing my creative energy on the writing at present.

I'm in an MFA Creative Writing program right now, and teach Creative Writing as an Adjunct Prof at a NYC college.

I believe in listening. I believe in patience. I believe in people. I believe in the power of the mind to make incredible things possible. I believe people dramatically underestimate themselves. I know that I'm one fish in a large ocean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will probably take a trip in the near future and would like to stay with fellow surfers along the way. In advance, I'd like to help surfers in their travels by providing safe haven.

Further, to meet cool people, and learn what I don't know I don't know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know how I would have the objectivity to determine if anything I've done is "amazing." Here's what comes to mind: working on a feature film in NY, expecting to be inside the location, early Feb, about 0 degrees F, very high winds, west side of Manhattan on the water, wearing jeans and cotton sneakers, mid-weight jacket (expecting to be inside), and getting informed that I would actually be outside for 14 hours straight. Rough. A lot of spontaneous exercise to keep warm. Is that amazing? I don't know. It was cold, and I made it manageable. It was amazing for me.
