ABOUT ME

I'm 30 years young and currently living the dream wherever I put my backpack down. After having a taste of travel back in 2010 on a volunteering mission to venezuela I simply never looked back :)

I am travelling with my partner in crime Mimi, she's as fun and adventurous as me.

Currently we are travelling on 'the journey of a lifetime' And the current adventure is just about to begin... We are starting our 2 year working holiday visa here in Toronto and would love to meet some awesome couchsurfers here in Canada to share our next two years with!

I believe everyday brings a new adventure and a new experience. When we wake up there's always so many reasons to smile and feel excited.

I like to do new things, learn new things and always embrace new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still an amateur and am excited to get new experiences. So far I have couch surfed and made a few awesome friends in Asia and Central America.

I have volunteered many times and stayed in peoples homes. I understand the need for privacy and respect their property. At the same time I will always smile and talk and be as social as I feel is polite, I know every situation is different.

The world really is our neighbourhood, and it would be rude not to explore and get to know it... don't you think?!

兴趣

Seeing and doing new things, meeting new people and cultures from all over the world. And the usual sports, football (or soccer I guess), tennis etc.

I LOVE nature, wildlife and being out and about. The wild is my home, it is the reason I began to travel and constantly a reminder of why I can never stop.

Diving and the marine world is my home and I am a professional Divemaster, always hungry to get back under the water.

I love... Green day, MCR, Queen, MJ, Offspring, Savage Garden, Elvis, Kelly Clarkson, Blondie, Passenger... too many to list but im not very genre specific as long as its not heavy rock or rap.
Books... Animal farm, Watership down, Wild Swans, Karl Pilkington - The moaning of life... heaps more but I wish I had more desire to pick up a book!
Movies... Sin City, Die Hard, The Lego Movie, The Inbetweeners, Forgetting Sarah Marshall.. I guess I mostly love funny movies! My new guilty pleasure is actually Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs II... So funny!

Walked rehabilitated pumas and jaguars around the Amazon in Bolivia. I volunteered here for 4 months and had the best experience of my life!
Hitch hiked on the freeway in Australia,
Dived in the Similan Islands,
Swam with whale sharks at Ningaloo Australia and Pink River Dolphins in the Orinoco Delta,
Canoed in Sir David Attenborough's footsteps on the Kinabatangan River in Borneo,
MET, TALKED WITH and HUGGED Sir David,
Helped to build a sports court for a community in Venezuela,
Swam under Angel Falls,
Become a professional Divemaster

I am so excited to soon make this list so much bigger!

Im happy and adventurous and friendly so will share all I have with anyone who is interested :)
I am a nature nerd and have volunteered with animals in many places including the Amazon and Borneo - I have heaps to share!

But there is so much more to me than wildlife, I can talk scuba diving all day, football to anyone who will listen, and of course travel...

Where have you been? What have you done and seen? How many awesome people have you met? And where was the most beautiful sunrise you have ever seen? I love to answer all these questions and ask them over a beer.

We are a very sociable couple who love to cook. We love to try new things and would love to cook something with your local ingredients to say thank you for your help.

Mimi is French and always enjoys teaching a few words or so.
