About Me

This fall, I'm starting graduate school at UC Irvine Logic and Philosophy of Science to study philosophy of science methodology, philosophy of cosmology, social epistemology, and other fun things like that. I'd be lying if I said that this didn't capture a large number of my interests.... In the meantime, my girlfriend elizabeth and I are planning to roadtrip across the country (Boston to Irvine)!

Outside of academics, I love snowboarding, science fiction, talking about emerging technologies, and just general conversations among friends. elizabeth loves graphic design, layout, publishing, and reading, so I've grown attached to these sorts of topics as well. She also works at a rock climbing gym, so I've started to climb too.

In general, I get enthusiastic about most things, as long as someone else in the room is excited by them and wants to start talking about/doing it. I eat most foods, except that I try to be vegetarian/pescatarian most of the time. When I lived at the Crafts House, I often prepped and prepared dumpstered foods, and the closest "food ideology" I've encountered is freeganism mixed with a dose of self discipline and health-awareness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first grew familiar with couchsurfing when I lived two years in the Crafts House at Tufts University (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/crafts-house/). During my time there, I was able to meet many extraordinary people, talk philosophy, world, science fiction, the future-- and I loved sharing a meal with just about anyone passing through.

Now, I'm planning to roadtrip across the country (Massachusetts to Southern California), and when I arrive I'll be in a more stable address than I've been through the past year (since Crafts House). I hope to meet people as I drive through, even for only a night.
