Just finished off a year living, working, and backpacking in NZ. Couldn’t ask for a better start to my travels. NZ is bliss.

About to start my new journey in Aussie. Can’t wait to see what new adventures await!

I'm a down-to-earth, fun guy who loves going on any and all adventures!
I feel most content in the wilderness surrounded by the unrelenting beauty of our natural world.
Also enjoy a night out on the town, exploring a new city.
Backpacking and hiking is a favorite activity of mine. Come join me for a hike! Let’s get lost in the woods :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experiences included a cross country trip relocating from Providence to Denver with my friend Alex and staying at several different locales along the way. It was a great experience and although I wasn't officially a couch surfer at the time, I was welcomed with open arms into the community. Since then, I have gone to many numerous Denver area CS events and met lots of new friends that have now become old friends.

Really just getting into the actual surfing of couches now. Not sure why I didn’t do it earlier, but no time like the present!
Australia has a lot to offer, excited to see what the locals have to show me :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working and living on the Appalachian Trail in Maine constructing stone steps and switchbacks for 3 months. Backpacking all around Colorado and New Zealand has also had a profound impact on my life.
-Still have got miles to go before i sleep

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Maine, so I love talking about all things nature related. I could go on and on about the environment if ever you're interested. For me, solutions are more pertinent than focusing endlessly on the issues we face. That’s where permaculture and small scale organic farming come into play.

I also spent some time in college as an outdoor instructor and really enjoy passing on some outdoor knowledge. Things like LNT (Leave No Trace), and backcountry skills, though I’m sure I’ve got much to learn in Aussie.

Im at the point in my life where im learning more about and exploring different concepts of personal, spiritual, conscious growth. Staying present.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My love and passion for the nature and sustainability.
Organic farming and permaculture are at the forefront of my personal ethics. They are all encompassing and ever-evolving. There is no one way to practice, and so my goal is to learn as much as I can, while exploring as much as I can. I'd love to share what I know and pick up some more skills along the way.
