About Me
ABOUT ME
I like hiking, and will do so whenever possible. I usually hike barefoot and this has only gotten me into trouble at fairs and on African lawns. Footwear accompanies the unshod hikes, but these are usually sandals.
Second to hiking is wandering, I think the difference is urban compared to rural? I like the smells of the city and watching people do their thing. Parks are glorious for this, the subway is fun. Random places to wander to: Fantastic!
I read. A lot.
I carry around a satchel called my SS, survival satchel. It was my old-over-the-shoulder laptop bag. This has everything I need to survive for a day or more in my current environment. Usually this just means snacks, socks, and a credit card but still.. its good to know that I have spare socks. As Scar has always said: "Be Prepared...."
I work. In computers and with half of the stereotypes that it entails + social skills. I think.
Pie is awesome. I have a sign in my kitchen that says "Pie Fixes Everything", this is sacrosanct.
I've lived in Long Island, Upstate NY, a National Park, and Rwanda. Now I am in NYC.
I could legally drink before I first got a cell phone. The only reason I got one was because I was taking care of kids on field trips and it became a safety thing. Now I couldn't live well without it, although I do like turning it off / ignoring it consistently. Being disconnected is good.
