Overview
About Me
I'm an academic who studies climate politics and enjoys foraging mushrooms. Also generally interested in philosophy/science/spirituality, all the stuff trying to understand life and the universe
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I made much of couchsurfing while traveling as a grad student and had the privilege to stay with some excellent hosts. Yet I've never actually hosted anyone, largely because I lived in Baltimore before and no one ever visits there! Now I live in a city where people actually like to come visit, so I thought I'd try to give back a bit.
I am, however, still slightly covid cautious. Not sure if I'll ever go totally100% back to 'normal'. So if you come surf my couch I ask you to exercise some modest caution in the days leading up to your visit, e.g. basic things like wearing a mask on the plane or train ride here. But do whatever you want while you're here.
[brief update: I'm away for the summer and don't return until mid September, and thus won't be available to host until then]

What I Can Share with Hosts
For those interested in climate politics and the 'polycrisis', I can talk your ear off about it! (I wrote a book on it). But don't worry we don't have to talk about dark stuff. I can also show you a good place in Edinburgh for foraging woodear mushrooms.
