ABOUT ME

We are two outgoing and adventurous artists residing in Brooklyn,NY. We want to see the world and make some great friends along the way. We love to cook and would happily trade a homemade meal for a place to rest our heads. You should try our eggs benedict with rosemary garlic roasted potatoes. Mmmm Mmmm!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have so many friends who have been involved with CS for years, and they all loved it. Living in NY we often host folks who are passing through, but this is our first time signing up with CS. We love being able to share our home and lives with new people and are hoping to find someone to do the same for us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to CouchSurfing.com but we are by no means new to traveling and hosting friends. Living in NYC we have hosted many many friends who were staying for days and even weeks. We are excited to build a community here which will hopefully lead to many new adventures!

Interessi

We love anything that gets our hands dirty! Katie is a seasoned cook, operating a supper club in the heart of Brooklyn. She also loves to sew, screen print, collage and experiment with DIY projects for her creative space. On Saturdays she volunteers with the local animal rescue, by far her dirtiest and most rewarding activity.

Mike is a musician and letter pressing master. He's a collector of all things beautifully aged and loves to build things the old-fashioned way. Mike is also great at cutting his own hair, growing an awesome mustache and playing ultimate frisbee. He is Katie's right-hand-man in the kitchen, and chops garlic like nobody's business.

Nothing better than a good book for a long journey. Michael Chabon, David Sedaris, Jonathan Safran Foer, Dave Eggers, Jack Kerouac, Flannery O'Connor, J.D. Salinger and Anne Lamott are some of our favorites.

We have been living in New York City for 3 years now and can recommend the truly unique experiences in the city. The is so much more to our home than the Empire State building and Statue of Liberty. We both love cooking, art and design and are always excited to cook great meals and create beautiful things. Let's collaborate!
