About Me

CURRENT MISSION

my mission is to protect you

ABOUT ME

- born in a small coastal town in maine
- learned to play guitar at age 16
- studied electrical engineering in college
- now living in Munich, Germany where I make websites and also play guitar and sing in a psychedelich rock band.

that was the quick and nasty, here's a more detailed description.

firstly, music is a HUGE part of my life. I can play guitar, drums and bass guitar on a somewhat professional level, and have traveled and recorded, though nothing terribly big... yet. I also love art, and how it fits into music, nature, design, the human body, everything. I also am continously trying to better myself and the immediate world around me. Or at least understand it so I can be a better participant.

I don't like to judge: in fact, I HATE to judge. Even if someone is introduced to me as "Mr. Asshole, murderer of a thousand babies", I would still like to get to know him and see for myself. You don't know how much you'll miss out on simply because of pre-conceived notions or heresay. Figure it out for yourself. Sure, if someone you trust tells you something, take it to heart, but always question it, and don't make it your own until you can believe in it. Also, don't go blabbing your personal thoughts until you've had time to understand why you believe them. And somthing I found out is, that not everyone needs to hear about your own personal world views. If they ask, that's another thing, but I hate to force myself on anyone. And with that, I'll promptly end this diatribe.

PHILOSOPHY

solipsism
but because everything exists in my own mind, I try to make everyone else happy, because everyone else is part of me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ever since I heard about CS in 2007, I've been hooked on the idea. I mostly host, because I love meeting new and interesting people, and it's been my experience that most CouchSurfers are very interesting and relaxed individuals. And it's so comforting to know that mankind hasn't lost faith in itself, and people still feel comfortable meeting complete strangers and sleeping at their houses.

Interests

Music (making, listening, discussing)
Movies (making, watching, discussing)
Art (making, viewing, discussing)
People (making, watching, discussing)

and even some harder topics like religion, life, sexuality. politics and history are two that I'm not too much into, though I know I should be.
