My wife and I have hosted people here in Jersey City, and I've benefited from crashing on a few couches too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a theremin duel with a club owner in a Lithuanian venue at 4am. It was harmless :) Really we just wanted to go to sleep, but our hosts wanted to be very, or shall we say overly hospitable and kept us at the venue after hours. Finally the owner woke up (he'd be passed out at the bar), and challenged me to a theremin duel. It lasted nine minutes. I'm not sure who won, but it made me laugh and loosen up about wanted to get sleep. My friends and I then realized we could take a cab. It was pretty cool.
