Cycling from Bangkok to Beijing!

ABOUT ME

With a heavy heart I left a job I loved, teaching in an inner city school in London, to follow a lifetime dream and go travelling around Asia for a long, long time. Recently I made the very sensible decision to buy a bicycle in Bangkok and ride it all the way to Beijing.

I'm looking to meet cool people on the way to share the adventure with, maybe get to know places better from a local's perspective.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Heard about this from a friend who hosted two travellers... Seemed like a lot of fun so thought I'd get involved

Intereses

Music- play guitar and bass guitar, many bands etc. Also love most listening to most music, in particular indie and blues, with side projects in hiphop and dance.
Sport- surfing (badly), running (fairly well- take part in long distance races at home), football (mediocre at best), rugby (only coaching now due to long term injury), diving

Música, películas y libros

Music: blues, indie, jazz, hiphop, rock, anything with an interesting melody or beat, everything except very hard rock/metal!
Books: george orwell is my favourite writer, doestoyesky, nassim nicholas taleb, captain correli's mandolin, ANYTHING about popular science or philosophy..., Haruki Murakami, Will Self, glenn david gold... Recently tried to teach myself economics...

Teach- I'm pretty good on guitar and bass! I always travel with a baby guitar and am happy to give lessons to hosts in exchange for couches!
Learn- up to you! I'm interested in a lot of things...
I also carry a LOT of music with me digitally- more than happy to "share" this with anyone who is keen.
