ABOUT ME

I am a knowledge-hungry student of the world looking to gain an understanding of what this weird and wonderful place is about through traveling, through hosting, through living, through working, through tasting, through touching, through loving, through crying, and through accepting. People are amazing and I will never lose my faith in them if I keep meeting fantastic specimens like I have through CouchSurfing.

I have done a fairly extensive amount of both hosting and traveling for the short time I have spent on this planet. I feel like my life's trajectory has been set at a rather lofty standard with respect to the quality of adventure I have experienced; I never want my association with outlandish living to be broken.

PHILOSOPHY

I live with the basic philosophy that all people at essentially good and there there is a lot to be learned from every one of you. In order to make the informed decision of how to live your own life, I hold strongly that you must understand a broad collection of varied lifestyles; I intend on making an informed decision.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been an active member of the CouchSurfing community for many years, both hosting and surfing. I have seen upwards of 60 guests come and go through my various houses and I have savoured every minute of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I find CouchSurfing to be one of the world's great filters. I have never found a more effective way to attract and seek out like-minded people; people who are open-minded, worldly, have some good tales to tell, and are generally easy-going with respect to what they expect of their hosts/guests. I love this network and I'm so glad that I've been a part of it for this long.

I have seen sunsets from alpine peaks, from desert canyons, from endless beaches, from infinite salt plains, from 30 meters underwater, from 10 000 meters above sea level. I have seen sunsets in the saturated heat of tropical jungle and in the paralyzing cold of turbulent mountaintops.

I have visited a lot of places and everywhere has been our amazing sustainer, the sun, disappearing over a varied horizon when it is time to rest for the night. This has always been a transcendent experience for me.

I have a solid understanding of the natural sciences and engineering practice, so if you would like a schooling in some chemistry or if you would simply like to talk about the dynamics of our natural world, let's have a chat!
