ABOUT ME

My wife and I currently live in Ames and I am a high school teacher and she is a vet student at iowa State. I like to run, bike, hike, surf, and boat. I grew up in northwest Iowa and am just a kid from the Midwest that likes to travel and see as much of the world as possible. I have been to Australia, Panama, and Germany. I have also traveled all over the U.S. I am pretty easy going and smile a lot. I consider myself to be a hard-worker yet knows how to have fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to be a positive impact on society. I hope one day I may be a teacher and influence the lives of many students. My parents played a huge role in raising me to become who I am today. I feel you should always try your best in life because sometimes you don't get second chances.

By offering my couch to travelers and at the same time traveling and making friendships that could last a life-time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I ran the 2008 Boston Marathon and I stayed with three people during that weekend in Worchestire, Massachusetts. Awesome time!!

I have ran the Des Moines marathon and qualified for the Boston Marathon and rode my bike across the state of Iowa several times on RAGBRAI. I have been to Australia, Panama, Germany, and all over the U.S.

I love the idea of couch surfing. I have had so many good experiences with people I have met throughout my life and this is just another way for a network of friends to expand. I would be more than glad to teach anyone interested in things I know how to do and at the same time enjoy learning from others.
