About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Doing and seeing as much as I possibly can, and looking to meet interesting people along the way.

ABOUT ME

I worked for a big tech startup for a year after college, thinking I wanted to build a career in that industry. Still have much love for startups, but I hate the 9-5 life with a passion. So I started my own little web consulting firm and started wandering. Spent 4 months skiing in Colorado, now two months in Europe. Once I get my business built up more I hope to continue this lifestyle indefinitely. Life's too short to squeeze it in around work.

PHILOSOPHY

Be a good person, and then do what makes you happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Haven't had a couch since I joined, but when I do I'll be eager to host some surfers! In the meantime looking to wander and meet cool people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never hosted or surfed, but I've hung out with surfers when they've stayed at good friends' places.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Hip hop, classic rock, indie rock, open to give everything a try

Books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Born to Run, The Alchemist, Steve Jobs

Movies: Superbad, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas... don't watch movies too much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done standup comedy a couple times, lived at a ski resort in Colorado for a winter, once drove from DC to San Diego in 4 days and once drove DC to Colorado in 2 days. Attended a Supreme Court hearing, smoked a blunt on the capitol lawn during Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's rally.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not a programmer but I have a pretty sharp understanding of most things involved in building websites or tech startups. I think one of my skills is explaining such topics to non-techie people so whether you're just curious or you're looking for advice for a project, I might be able to help!
