Bonjour tout le monde

I have to tell you at first that my real name is Michel. Raymond is my family name. But I have to change it because I can no longer login in my first registration under this name due to I don't know, a computer/network problem...

I'm coming from Lac-St-Jean in Quebec. A area situated some 300 km north of Quebec city. Some of you may thik that I'm an Inuit. But actually the weather there is warmer than in Calgary.

I'm a traveler in my heart. Always in search of new discoveries. Cultivated, passionate, I like long conversations around the table with a good bootle of wine. And cheese. I'm mad about cheese. I just arrived in Calgary, looking for a job and a place to stay for the summer. Before going somwhere else. I wish I could meet people to share travelling experiences !

PHILOSOPHY

I think w all have a aim in life. That is given to us at our birth. The thing is to find it and to pursue it. That's the way of being happy in life I think.

Interests

A lot of things are interesting for me. But I have a crush for history. Because a lot of things that are as they are look like it's like that for arbitrary reasons. In fact it's not. When you read about history you discover why it's working like that, the reasons why something have been made in that specific manner. It's true as well for a political system as it is for a given cocktail. Shortly, history help in understanding the world in wich we are living, and the people, their differents cultures, languages, religions, etc. In brief, I'm interrested in a lot of thing caus I like to understand the world in wich we live.

Music, Movies, and Books

We all have a moovie that we can watch over and over again without being bored. Mine is "good will hunting". The moovie that made me laugh the most is a Quebec moovie called "Elvis Gratton". The guy is so dumb ! I like also a lot Dracula from Francis Coppola,7, fight club, Lord of the rings, the unforgiven, Big Lebowsky, The Godfather and all the Tarantino, the Cohen and Clint Eastwood movies.

Two other books that changed my way of thinking: "Introduction to psychoanalysis" by Freud,and "manufacturing consent" by Noam Chomsky. Also a lot of books about hystory, Jack Kerouac, Henry Miller, Charles Bukowsky, Millenium, James Ellroy,

I like prety much any kind of music as long as it is well done. But my favorite is live jazz music. I'm scratching guitar myself. But I'm not a jazzman yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A guy that crossed Brodway Avenue in New York, zig zaging between cars going in the four ways bumper-to-bumper at 50km/h, and doing that like if it was a walk in the park ! How human can adapt to any environment !

Teach, Learn, Share

A dinner with the wine that perfectly fit the meal is an amazing experience that I think a few people had experienced, since it is quite complicated to realize. I would be happy to share that !
