About Me

I’m a nomadic filmmaker and storyteller from New York. I’ve bounced between Denver, Kyoto, and Istanbul, and I love diving into different cultures headfirst. My life revolves around creativity, meeting new people, and capturing the energy of a place—whether that’s through a camera lens, a conversation, or just wandering without a map. I try to live with curiosity, humor, and a sense of adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because the best way to know a city isn’t in the guidebooks—it’s through the people who live there. Couchsurfing, for me, is less about a couch and more about connection: swapping stories, sharing meals, and seeing the everyday magic of a place through local eyes. I’m here to meet open-minded people who want to trade experiences, not just recommendations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m into anything with vibe and soul. Music: from old-school hip hop to indie rock to ambient electronic—if it makes you feel something, I’m in.

Movies: I’m a filmmaker, so I love everything from cult classics like Inglourious Basterds to neon-drenched arthouse films to ridiculous comedies.

Books: I rotate between philosophy (to stretch my brain), memoirs (to live a thousand lives), and design/creativity books (to sharpen the craft).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Kyoto and Istanbul for over a year in 2020-2021, soaking up two wildly different cultures back-to-back.

In Kyoto I leaned into the stillness, temples, and ritual. In Istanbul, it was chaos, colors, and late-night conversations over tea. Both experiences taught me how to adapt, slow down, and embrace the weird and wonderful contrasts of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach photography, videography, and filmmaking—from the basics of shooting on your phone to editing techniques. I’m also a budding YouTuber, so I love swapping ideas on content creation. What I want to learn? Cooking local dishes, language basics, farming, DIY anything—I geek out on picking up skills from the people I meet. Sharing is big for me too—stories, playlists, laughter.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a DANK breakfast hash—like, seriously next-level good. But beyond that, I bring good energy, curiosity, and the ability to help document your world through photos or video if that’s something you’d enjoy. I can also pitch in with chores, creative projects, or just being a solid presence who respects your space.
