Hi! My name is Mikel. I live in Vitoria - Gasteiz, the place where I was born in 1994. I just finished my degree in Renewable Energy Engineering in the University of the Basque Country. I started working a an engineer for a big company this year and I also give school reinforcement lessons to teenagers so that I can earn a living.

I consider myself a simple person, but I think I can be a good support to my environment. I don't really know who I am, who I want to be and what I am in this world for, but i think traveling can help me to find it out. That's why I love traveling and I love it much more when I do it with CS!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I got started in CS in order to get free accomodation (Let´s be honest!), but after having stayed in six different houses during last two summers, I realized it was much more than that.

Every host that I had the pleasure of meeting was awesome and living together has been really easy. Their company was really helpful, especially since I was travelling alone. Sharing time with such different people has been truly rewarding.

Intereses

My whole life moves around music. I´ve been playing the guitar and the bass guitar in many bands in Vitoria and I also try to play other instruments. Currently I play drums in a marching band. It's a pity that I've been quite busy this year and I've not been able to spend much time playing.

Of course, I never miss a music show in my town. I always ask myself: Is there any better plan than going to a gig with my friends and some beers?

On the other hand, few months ago a friend of mine told me: "I want to get rid of my old long board, do you want it?". So I've become a long boarder! Though I'm still a beginner, I really enjoy it and I think it is the best way to relax after a hard working day.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Though I don´t really have much free time, I´d be a pleasure for me to show you every corner of Vitoria. It is an small and peaceful city, but if you now where to look for, you´ll find many interesting things.
