Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life and helping others

ABOUT ME

I find that the more I travel and meet people, the clearer this life seems to me.

I started a social network called Zoobird http://www.zoobird.com that connects people and information about organic living. Zoobird brings me and a lot of other people together. Without it, we might lose touch.

I also write for a magazine called Elephant Journal at http://www.elephantjournal.com/author/michael/

I love budget travel and meeting people along the way. My favorite times are hanging out in a community room, especially a kitchen and finding out what's going on from fellow travellers. I enjoy ragged books that captivate me when I find them along the way. My favorite souvenirs are experiences, but I love a little token like an old watch from a street market. My idea of the most satisfying business is deals and projects made with fascinating, charismatic people I meet far away. I feel that time stands still when I'm away. That I experience life to the fullest and am the most energized while traveling. My mind is the most alert when I am orienting myself and weighing choices while away. Then, I come home and seem to fall back in love with my chosen geographical location.

PHILOSOPHY

Michael loves sharing what he's learned about alternative lifestyles. He calls it "lifestyle entrepreneurship". He's into organic gardening, mindful living, and realizes that we only have this life and each other. His favorite quote is "The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both." (James A. Michener)

Algo increíble que he hecho

I've seen my world go from one place to another by changing my own perspective.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I had a conversation about politics and deferred my opinion. My friend suggested it's better to *have* an opinion than to stand on the sidelines without one. My motto is "culture, not politics", but it's important to be aware of what's going on around you.
