Me considero una persona divertida y sociable, me gusta conocer personas y lugares nuevos. Soy respetuoso y muy tolerante. Creo que lo más importante de la vida es divertirte y disfrutar, siempre siendo responsable y sin afectar a los demás. El mundo es demasiado grande para quedarte siempre en el mismo lugar.

I consider myself a fun and cheerful person, I like meeting new people and places. Tolerant and very respectful of diversity. I think the most important thing in life is to have fun and enjoy yourself, always being responsible and without affecting others. The world is too big to always stay in the same place.

ABOUT ME

Pues mis amigos me llaman Mike. Me encanta la pizza y el tequila. En mis tiempos libres me gusta leer y en ocasiones escribir. Amo nadar y los lugares fríos. Pero lo que más disfruto es conocer nuevas personas y lugares, para darme cuenta como funcionan otros mundos; además de conocer la historia de cada lugar.

En general estoy siempre disponible para nuevas experiencias. Vamos improvisando sobre la marcha.

My friends call me Mike. I love pizza and tequila. In my free time I like to read and write some times. I love swimming and cold places. But the thing I enjoy the most is meeting new people and places, to know how other worlds work; besides knowing the history of each place.

In general, I am always available for new experiences. Let’s improvise on the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Creo profundamente en la vida (con todo lo que conlleva). Me gusta ser feliz, pero también llorar y sufrir; gritar y callar; caer y levantarme; cansarme y descansar; desesperarme y empezar de nuevo; perderme y encontrarme; tener hambre y sentirme lleno. Vivir, que al final el tiempo es finito.

Si tu te ocupas de lo que debes y confías en ti, veras que la vida se va arreglando sola.

I believe deeply in Life (with all that entails). I like to be happy, but also mourn and suffer; scream and be silent; fall and rise; get tired and rest; get restless and start again; find myself getting lost; being hungry and feel full. Live, because in the end time is finite.

If you occupy your place, do what you have and trust yourself, you will see that life arranges itself alone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

En mi país: México, he tenido dos experiencias; una fue al Estado de Nayarit, donde Elizabeth (Estados Unidos), nos alojó a mi y a mi amiga Lorena (España) en su casa en el Puerto de San Blas. Fue una gran experiencia ya que ella nos facilitó mucho las cosas y nos divertimos bastante. La segunda fue en la capital del país: Ciudad de México, donde Oscar nos alojó, eso solo fue por una noche, pero fue muy grata, ya que vimos películas hasta el amanecer.

En el caso internacional he usado CouchSurfing en España dos veces, en Barcelona donde Albert nos dio a mí y mis amigas alemanas y argentinas un bello recorrido por la ciudad. Otra ocasión fue cuando Dani y su novio me recibieron en Asturias, fueron bastante amables ya que me hospedaron y me dieron un recorrido hermoso.

También use CouchSurfing en la ciudad de Nueva York, donde Gupta me recibió en su increíble penthouse. Además conocí un montón de gente ahí fruto de esta maravillosa red: Enrique, Adriana y Jas... ellos me mostraron la fiesta en la ciudad.

Recientemente en Paraguay y Brasil

I've only had two experiences in my country: Mexico; One was the state of Nayarit , with Elizabeth (United States) , she stayed with me and my friend Lorena ( Spain ) at home in the Port of San Blas. It was a great experience because she gave us a lot of things and had lots of fun. The second was in Mexico City, where we stayed with Oscar that was just for one night but it was very pleasant, since we watched movies until dawn.

In the international case I used CouchSurfing in Spain twice in Barcelona where Albert gave to me and my German and Argentine friends a beautiful city tour. Another time was with Dani and her boyfriend got me in Asturias, were quite friendly as they entertained me and gave me a beautiful drive.

I also used CouchSurfing in New York city, there Gupta hosted me in his amazing penthouse. Besides I met a lot of people thanks to this amazing web: Enrique, Adriana and Jas… they showed me the real party there.

I have stayed fortunate to have someone yet.

Interests

Me interesa mucho la historia, aprender cosas nuevas de cada lugar y como ha sido su conformación histórica.

Me gusta el cine, disfrutar de una buena película en casa, acompañada de palomitas de maíz.

Frecuento mucho los museos, ya que creo que cada uno puedo aportar algo distinto.

Además me gusta viajar e ir de fiesta (bastante).

I am very interested in history, learn new things from each place and as how has been their historical constitution.

I like the cinema, enjoy a good movie at home, accompanied by popcorn.

I frequent museums much as I think everyone can contribute something different.

I also like traveling and partying (enough).

Music, Movies, and Books

Amo los libros, y a pesar de que unos no son tan interesantes, creo que cada uno deja una enseñanza muy importante. Usualmente leo libros de Historia, aun cuando también me gusta la mitología. Hay tres libros que me han marcado, uno es "Aura" de Carlos Fuentes, "La Búsqueda del Espíritu" de Susan Sharpe y "El hombre en busca de sentido" de Viktor Frankl; ya que los leí en momentos de mi vida muy decisivos.

En cuanto a la música disfruto de casi toda, pero me gusta más la Trova y la Opera; aun cuando amo el House y el Ska para la fiesta.

Debo de confesar que usualmente las películas que a mi me gustan, no le gustan a las demás personas, mis favoritas son: "The breakfast club", "Temporada de patos", "Los coristas" y "Mambo a la Italiana".

I love books, and even though some are not so interesting, I think everyone leaves a very important lesson. I usually read history books, even though I like the mythology. There are three books that have marked me, one is "Aura" by Carlos Fuentes, "The Search for Spirit" Susan Sharpe and "Man's Search for Meaning" Viktor Frankl; because I read it in very decisive moments of my life.

As for the music I enjoy almost all, but I like the Trova and Opera; even though I love the House and Ska for partying.

I must confess that usually movies that I like, do not like other people, my favorites are: "The breakfast club", "Duck Season," "The chourist" and "Mambo to the Italian".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Creo que mi logro más grande ha sido escalar el pico del fraile en el volcán Xinantecátl a una altura de 4720 mnm.

I think my greatest achievement has been climbing the peak of the friar in the Xinantécatl volcano at an altitude of 4720 mnm.
