About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploration of the inner self through outer world experiences

ABOUT ME

I've been on the west coast for 10 years and love it. Grew up in the northeast, had a chance to travel around the world -- Ethiopia, Kenya, Thailand, Uganda, Costa Rica, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and all 50 states.
Last summer I went to the only state I hadn't been to, Alaska. 10 days with my backpack and tent hitchhiking from Homer to Seward to Anchorage.
From there I went to Maine for 10 days, which is my home state.
I'm an explorer and love to discover new places. I also enjoy meeting new people and can always find common ground and make others at ease around me.
Life in the San Juan Islands has been fantastic, I hope to share it with others who love new places to discover and explore.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel like I live to bring some kind of betterment to the world. I haven't placed the specific direction for that yet but have experienced several life changes that have shown me that I can make a difference in others' lives. We're living in a time of profound change, with things going on in the universe that we just can't fully grasp...yet. I'm searching for knowledge, experiences, stories, and enlightenment. I consistently have found and planned and accomplished my goals in life. I believe everyone can be the person they want to be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driven in every state of the lower 48, travelled in East Africa for 5 weeks on a sponsored "ambassadorial/goodwill" type of trip, worked in Yellowstone Park for two seasons, and more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I work as a jack of all trades, managing 5 or 6 jobs. Before that I honed my skills in a very different environment, as a financial advisor. I have a firm understanding of corporatations and financial markets which I have helped to interpret for us ordinary middle income people. I left that life of finance because I lost my drive for the sale. And sadly I felt I had to find money, find money, always look for clients with money. I then remembered why I decided to earn a degree in finance -- to understand how to manage my own money, and to help the people around me to do so.
These days I'm a geometry teacher, math tutor, a substitute teacher, I do handyman jobs and landscaping, and random odd jobs. I love the variety and flexibility of my schedule.
