Overview
About Me
25 year old software engineer living in San Francisco who doesn't take anything too seriously. I'm an extroverted guy who's almost always up for an adventure. I'm not the most spiritual person, but I really appreciate sharing conversation with those who are. Although I was once super into technology, I prefer spending my free time with the people around me, going on a bike ride, or making something.
In another life, I was really into language. I was nearly fluent in Spanish about 5 years ago. In Mandarin and Hebrew, I was nearly conversational enough to get around and express simple thoughts. That's something I don't get to practice enough though.
I like people who push me out of my comfort zone. They make life more interesting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd really like to meet people while traveling. Professional tour guides drive me insane, and I love to hear from locals what they actually enjoy. I also live in a wonderful place (San Francisco :D) and would love to show people the city through my eyes. It's a really unique and beautiful place. The trips I usually take are more eclectic. I've been loving cycling trips recently, but I don't take them very aggressively. The right pace for me is ~30 miles a day (~50 km), because I like time to stop and explore along the way.
Interests
I've been learning that I really love people. They can bring so many new experiences into your life. If it's daylight, and I have some time to burn, I'll go for a long bike ride. I'm passionate about photography, but currently without camera and dark room. I also really like big Sunday brunches and live music.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
I'm really all over the place. Recently, my tastes have been more electronic than anything, but I was raised on punk rock, and grew up loving alternative. I love fusion genres more than anything. They're really unique.
MOVIES
I'm a pretty light-hearted guy, so I love comedies. Although, I really love darker comedies. My all-time favorite movie is Little Miss Sunshine. Although I prefer TV shows. I'm a Bob's Burgers bingewatcher.
BOOKS
I never could seem to wrap myself into books the way other people can. I really wish I could get lost in a book, but I have trouble doing that. The books I own are mostly programming books, or coffee table thumb-throughs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I biked from Tokyo to Nagoya with my sister
Teach, Learn, Share
My skill-set is pretty eclectic (Chinese yo-yo, trapeze, guitar hero?) so if you happen to stumble upon one of those things I know, I'd be happy to teach you. I'm down to learn almost anything though! And I'd love to share what I love about this great city with new people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I travel pretty light, but I'll be good company. And of course, first round's on me :)
