About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun and try something new :D!!!

ABOUT ME

20 year old biology/chemistry major, philosophy minor at Kalamazoo College. I LOVE soccer and Arsenal FC, and play for my college varsity squad. Other than that, anything that makes me laugh and dance is fine by me.

PHILOSOPHY

I live without regret, and try to take ownership of everything that I do and that happens to me. My thought is that we are only alive once for all we know, so why waste time being preoccupied about how we are being perceived? I'd rather just have fun with everyone.

I don't really like secrecy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For right now, I'm just looking to meet new people on my travels while I'm young who I can develop friendships with. Additionally, the perks of not having to stay at a hostel and having someone who can show me the city aren't bad...

I would love to host people too, especially those who take me in. However, I still live in a dormitory at my university, so it isn't very feasible right now...

Interests

Soccer (football): I play in my university as a second striker/attacking midfielder. I've been an Arsenal fan since I was 5, and Dennis Bergkamp is my idol.

Music: I've played the piano for ~12 years, although it was always a secondary activity behind sports. I am also DJ of UK Garage, Drum & Bass and Breakbeat music styles.

Science: I am always interested in our world and how everything works. In terms of my future profession, I am focused on organic chemistry as well as microbiology, but it all is quite amazing really to me.

And of course having a drink and dancing around too ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to see Arsenal play at Highbury before their stadium change was something special. Especially since I saw Bergkamp score in his final season, something that only happened about three times that year...

Teach, Learn, Share

So an atom consists of a dense, positive nucleus and a cloud of miniscule electrons (so small they provide just about no mass to the atom.) Comparatively speaking, if a stadium were the whole atom, the nucleus would be a marble at midfield, while everything else is a cloud of electrons. If you think about it then, we are more than 99% empty space, since bonded atoms don't really cram that close together since the positive nuclei repel when they get too close. Weird, huh?
