About Me

ABOUT ME

Life-long learner, environmentalist, photographer, chef, musician, birdwatcher, ultimate frisbee, friend and dog daddy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled a bit through couchsurfing and enjoy the opportunity to meet likeminded folks.

Interests

Big fan of being outside. I mountain and road bike, birdwatch, hike, kayak, camp and dabble in nature/wildlife photography. I grew up in a family of musicians, and I myself play the piano, harmonica, and djembe drum. I also love to cook. I prefer cooking indian, italian and ecuadorian cuisine. Although originally from the United States, I've lived in Ecuador for over 7 years working as an environmental consultant. I recently moved to Manta, Ecuador, on the coast for a job with the United Nations. I play ultimate frisbee, follow the NBA, and love a good podcast while chillin on the beach sesh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I mountain biked 140 km around the Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador in 2 days and on the way reached altitudes of 3800m, broke a bike chain, froze my fingers and face off, climbed switchback dirt roads and cruised through the wet, high andean paramo. Beautiful.
