ABOUT ME

I am an avid green guy. All things ecological interest me especially Alternative energy. I try to eat organic at least some of the time... I would like to be vegetarian but I love the taste of meat too much, so I would like to some day own some chickens, and just have them for my meat needs. I am currently looking for an apartment in Ottawa. I cant wait till I am able to host CSers myself. I love cooking for people that I really like. So you CSers that I have met here in Ottawa someday soon I am going to have to invite you over for dinner sometime. :)
If I had to describe myself in the fewest words possible Id say a "geeky peace loving hippy"

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life morally. Not to say I havent ever not listened to my good voice inside, but generally good.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by being a great guest. I have good manors, and am very respectful of peoples belongings. And I have been doing alot of CS events in Ottawa. I have met a ton of awesome people here on CS. Some people I hope to be good friends for a long time! ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done some couch surfing, nothing but good experiences for sure! I have warmshowered once too, (it is the cycling tourers version of couchsurfers). It was an awesome experience, the hosts were so genuine, and generous! As for the CS events in Ottawa, the CS regulars are all an awesome bunch. An eclectic bunch that I love spending time with.

I love Michael Crichtons books (too bad he is dead). I also love reading about alternative housing and renewable energy.
As for music I love Daft Punk, Buck 65, Beastie Boys, My chemical romance, and many more alternative rock bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmm, I was an air cadet a long long time ago in another life time, and I loved flying airplanes and gliders... that was truely fun. I say long long time ago because it seems odd that the way I turned out I could possibly ever have had anything to do with an organization like that. Not saying there is anything wrong with Air Cadets, but Im more of a peace loving hippy then a military man for sure! :)
Also one time when I was around 14 or so I had the opportunity to fly an Air Canada real live simulator. lol that was so much fun! I actually landed the plane perfectly all three wheels hitting the pavement precisely the way they are supposed to!
Lastly (of real note) I went on a 900+ km tour from Sherbrooke QC to Guelph ON this summer, I built a home made camper for my recumbent bike with the intention of moving to Vancouver to further develop the trailer and offer it for sale to people in the Vancouver area (and further depending on shipping options)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair bit about renewable energy and alternative housing. I know I have a lot more to learn, but I think I have a good start at it! :) I am pretty decent at putting together home-cooked type meals that your grandma excels at, and think I have pretty good creativity with spices. Though Id love to learn more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have done a lot of things on my 40+ years on Earth, and am always happy to talk about and debate the finer points. I am happy to do the dishes if we share a meal together too!
