ABOUT ME

I work and live in Homer, Alaska. I am a special education teacher and girls soccer coach at Homer High School. I enjoy cycling, motorcycles, college basketball, traveling and reading.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been a member of Couchsurfing for a long time, but for the last year or two have not been accepting guests. I recently purchased a homer in Homer, and figured it was time to start again now that I have the room.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the blues, old soul and funk. My favorite books are travel and adventure stories and movies have to be real, or must be able to occur in real life. More power to all the sci-fi lovers out there, but I just can't get into it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It depends on who you ask. Some people think teaching special education is amazing but I don't know that it's necessarily true.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about other people, I was a journalist in my former life and love to hear and tell stories. I hope to offer someone a nice place to stay with access to all that Homer and the surrounding area have to offer.
