Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My first experience with couch surfing involved a trip across the US staying with surfers the whole way...
I'm hooked.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
On a road trip from San Francisco to Pittsburgh I surfed in Los Angeles, CA - Flagstaff, AZ - Oklahoma City, OK - St. Louis, MO.
The trip was incredible, but even more than that I loved the crazy characters I met along the way!
Interests
All things music! (playing/writing music, attending concerts, A Cappella Groups, Theatre)
Martial Arts / Yoga / Meditation
hiking / backpacking / camping (I was a Boy Scout once upon a time)
Shenanigans.
Seeing the world and sharing it with good friends, old and new. (shocker!)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I try to listen to a little bit of everything, but some of my favorites are: Coheed and Cambria, John Butler Trio, Frank Ocean, Queen, Dream Theater, Thelonious Monk, Jason Mraz, Jukebox the Ghost, The Beatles, Macklemore, The Dear Hunter, Haim, Alt-J, The Black Keys, Rush, Miles Davis, Janelle Monae, Common, Vampire Weekend, Porcupine Tree, The Eagles... I could be here for a while...
Books - some of my favorites over the years: Ender's Game, Catch-22, The Hobbit, Brave New World, From Hell (and anything by Alan Moore), Anything by R.A. Salvatore, Perks of Being a Wallflower, John Dies at the End, Looking For Alaska, and I'm currently working my way through a Song of Ice and Fire
Movies - I love almost all of the movies by these directors: Hayao Miyazaki, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Joss Whedon, Wes Anderson & Guillermo del toro. And Birdemic: Shock and Terror. OH, and how could I forget Sharknado???
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
THON is an incredible organization that raises money to support pediatric cancer research and provide aide to the families of children affected by pediatric cancer. As a student at Penn State I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in this organization's efforts for 4 years, and in that time we raised a total of around $40,000,000!
