About Me

Hey everyone!!
I'm a 23 year old British-Filipino. I wanna meet cool people and experience new things! Saying no is a skill and my friends know me for being up for anything. I love an adventure and all I want is to be that cool Grandad that has stories for days and the grandkids having to confirm with their parents if they were true or not.

While I'm there I'm hoping to experience the cultures too, I'm an open minded person!

I went to school in the North East of England and went to University of Liverpool, living there for 5 years. I have left and been travelling since.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone joins the rat race sooner or later, so why not delay it for another year? I am using all the time, money and effort on exploring the world and making the most of my freedom (no responsibilities, job, family, mortgage etc..)
The reason I'm on couch surfing is to see the world, gain life experience and most importantly meet cool people, theres so many out there. You learn a LOT from meeting loads of people and the culture especially. I should have used this sooner, because this is such a sick idea.

Music, Movies, and Books

The music I listen to depends on my mood. I'm the type to have and create so many different playlists for different moods and vibes - not by genre.

I have actually just started using Letterboxd - I love my movies.

I'm not a big reader but I'm currently trying to read Ikigai. The Japanese concept of finding your purpose from what you love doing, what you're good at, what can make you money and what the world needs, in one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing I have done is race across Europe with NO money and NO phones. Only RedBulls. Did this end of May 2024, against 300 teams across the World. I did it with my two best friends, the race is called RedBull Can You Make It. This is something to tell you about in person, it is genuinely insane ;)

2nd is probably the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam. Again, another story over a drink.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many experiences thats taught me a lot and I can teach loads of it, here are some highlights:

In Zanzibar, Tanzania I was the project manager for SolarChiller. A project by The University of Liverpool that included Masters and PhD students. We designed and built a sustainable Solar Powered cold room for the refrigeration of agricultural produce for the farmers and fishermen in Zanzibar.

In Khao Sok, Thailand I taught English, the importance of the Environment and Jungle life to both local kids and foreign kids.

In Bali, Indonesia I volunteered as an Engineer designing, building and improving a pyrolysis machine that turns plastic waste into energy.

Every summer for 5 years I volunteered at a hospital and children's hospital at Lourdes, France.

I was a Volunteer Reserve Officer cadet for the Royal Air Force (RAF) for two years alongside my studies, where I had all sorts of training - including flight training which was the coolest. I was also in charge of all social events as my role and I organised 2 Summer balls for the whole station (base) where my squadron was posted.

In University I was Vice President for the Lacrosse Club which was a club 6 teams big.

I have done 4 big backpacking trips now and have visited 40 countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories. So many stories, I've done an insane amount with my life already and can't keep up. I am very lucky and very energetic - I love making people laugh and smile.
