About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get to Cottage Grove to write the Guide to Maximum Intention Gardening and than go to Boulder Colorado to present the Guide in lieu of a application to Grad School.
ABOUT ME
I went to UC Berkeley and got my BA in English, and than got sidetracked with a food service job at Caffe Med, the oldest coffee shop in the East Bay. I keep trying to write novels, but all that comes out are these convoluted haikus.
Now I write music, because classical guiter soothes my aching spirit, and it gives me a chance to bellow my convoluted haikus over soft arpegiated plucking.
Let's see now, what else? I like porches. aaand, chicken mcnuggets, aaand, choosing the books I read out of free boxes, aaaaaaaand, ice cream cereal and milk all in the same bowl especially with dehydrated strawberries. That's what I had for dinner just now. What's that called? experimental cooking. I love experimental cooking, especially with hot sauce. I also like watching other people cook, because they have such a different approach, it's almost an unrecognizably different thing.
I also write, but don't have any sort of measured release, so it comes in strange random bursts like ... like this.
PHILOSOPHY
Woke up late and I stared at the wall...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to dig gardens. As many gardens as possible.
I also want to play music. As much music as possible. In the gardens if possible. I also want to document the development of what I'm calling THE GARDENS MUSIC PROJECT. Yeah, I've been working on it for six months, and that's the only title I've come up with. Whatever.
I hum.
I activate the passive vibrations that launch everyone into a creative frenzy. No, I'm not that cool. But I do have a bag full of sharpies, a book full of songs, half original half covers, a notebook full or writing ideas, and these new velcro shoes with flowers on them.
I also harmonize a bit, but only if it seems like the person playing music wants me to. I also play guitar while simultaneously blurting out pre determined phrases.
I prefer to let other people lead when it comes to what the plan for the day is and such things, because I find that other people bring me places I could never have come up with had I pushed my own agenda. But if there's nothing going on I am generally capable of coming up with something worthwhile.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
never been, never done nothin. I mean, at least nothing through this here web site. I seen my share of couches and floors and garages and more, but never through these fancy internets.

Teach, Learn, Share
1. COVER LETTERS & APPLICATIONS
2. GARDENING (I mainly just do grunt work, but I love it)
3. GUITAR & JAM THEORY
4. holy smash, I just made up the term JAM THEORY, and it is seriously perfect. Because I don't like music theory, it alienates alot of musicians. Hence it folds in on itself and collapses. But Jam theory, the only people alienated by that are the ones aiming at alienating people. It's perfect.
I got into UC Berkeley with a 3.2, which means I must have written a decent entry essay. It must have gotten me in, because the GPA is 4 points below the average transfer student.
So I'd say the most valuable capacity is teaching people to write cover letters and college applications.
I write around a hundred cover letters a year to various craigslist jobs gigs and possibilities. From these I have gotten jobs as a stage hand, a reporter, property manager, and countless others.
Guitar is probably what I'd like to eventually teach, although I have alot to learn before that.
For now I can teach all major minor and seventh chords in their initial positions, and the scale that goes along with each, and at least a half a dozen songs within a week.
