Hello ! My name is Mikey, I am from the snowy mountains of Park City, Utah, USA. I am a chef by trade, and a wanderer by nature.

10 years ago I went on my first around the world adventure, and it completely changed my life! To have grown up in just one country, I hadn't had the chance to see how people in other countries live, and when I finally took the chance to leave the country I jumped at it. And I've been hooked ever since. To meet new people, whether locals or travelers, and to immerse into the local flavors of food, music, and the area is my favorite thing in my life. This has given me such an important perspective and my gratitude for life has grown exponentially.

I have never used this app, but I have embodied it for 20 years. I have always been a host; of parties, travelers, soirees, dinners; my mother instilled these qualities in me and I am forever grateful for that. And this has taught me how to be the best house guest possible. (and people have told me that!) Many friends I have met while traveling have used Couchsurfing and have loved being able to stay with locals, getting the inside scoop on the area, and make new friends. And this is why I'm so excited to hit the road !

UPDATE! I have settled momentarily in Salt Lake City, and have a nice house, and am excited to host new friends from around the world !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To host and to crash couches, as I am a huge fan of traveling cheap and meeting new people. I'm excited to be backpacking around Europe soon, as I have never been, and I'm just so ecstatic to dive into the culture, food, music, and adventure.
