About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've been travelling across South East Asia for the past 6 months, splitting my time between leading backpacking programs and travel for fun! I've actually only hosted people, and I've never been hosted before in my travels, so hopefully this works out.

ABOUT ME

I moved to Toronto to attend uni, and despite long backpacking trips and time away, I've never left! I finished school a couple of years ago, and I'm currently working in recruitment at the same university. I just spent the summer leading backpacking programs in Kenya and Tanzania, and I've got many other adventures planned. I live with two other roomies (one male, one female), all in our early to mid 20's. We are really into cycling, cooking, travel, and sarcasm. I am really into food and music, and one of my favourite things is to experience different meals by people who surf at my place!

PHILOSOPHY

I am trying to put this together, as I haven't really fully figured it out. At the moment I am really into putting positive energy forward, and looking at the positive side of things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't believe it has already been 5 years since I've started hosting surfers. I've met some phenomenal individuals in this time, and I'm looking forward to meeting many more. I live in a great city, and I'd love to help people explore and experience it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I got back from travelling, I was couchsurfing all over the city. It was a bit hectic but also very liberating to not have a formal space. I've been hosted informally all around the world, and it has been a really great way to explore on the cheap. Also, you tend to connect with local cultures and make friends in a much easier/deeper way.

I swam with sea turtles throughout Hanoma Bay in Hawaii, which has been one of the most amazing things I have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook, and I am getting pretty serious about baking bread! One of my favourite things is sharing a meal with a surfer, especially if they're able to make something from their own culture/experience. I usually provide the drinks, and it makes for a great night. :D
