ABOUT ME

At the risk of blowing my own horn, I'm a pretty alright guy. I really don't complain about much, and I've had a pretty awesome life so far. I like experiencing new things and meeting new people. My biggest fear is getting into a routine or long-term commitment that is not easily changed. I've has a variety of jobs, including professional photographer, Peace Corps volunteer, divemaster/assistant instructor, and am currently a project coordinator for a renewable energy company (think solar). I strike a balance between living every day to it's fullest and preparing for the future. Call me a cautious optimist.

PHILOSOPHY

That we should all strive to give each other love and liberty, overcome the petty differences that too often overpower our lives. Stop complaining and count your blessings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met many wonderful people who are coachsurfing in Hawaii. I have yet to surf, although I have had my share of travels. My greatest travel experience was 2 years in the Peace Corps in Jamaica.

Interests

I like physical activity. If I have a good sweat and am out of breath at the end, it's all good by me. Biking, hiking, scuba, Ultimate Frisbee, snorkeling, surfing- I'm up for whatevas. I like to read. I'm addicted to the Internet. I LOVE practicing on my bass. I sometimes paralyze myself with deep thought and meditation, sometimes not getting anything done in the evening.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything from the 60's, 70's and 80's. 90's sucks ass for the most part, and very little has improved since then unfortunately. Yeah, I shoulda been born in the 40's.
