To get accepted for the first time as a surfer! Have hosted loads but never yet surfed.

ABOUT ME

Good at both physical and mental meandering. I love wandering, sometimes aimlessly, around different countries with a swivel stick for a neck and a wide eyed fascination for people and places.

PHILOSOPHY

Having experienced the divisive nature of religion and race I'm determined to maintain an egalitarian outlook. That's probably my most important feeling right now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far only as a host and have had nothing but positive and interesting experiences from all who've stayed. I like to think that's partly generated by me: assume trustworthiness and friendliness in others and they generally respond by displaying it.

People! Everyone has a story to tell and, in most cases, I'm ready to hear it.

音乐、电影和书籍

I enjoy autobiographies and more or less anything by Stephen Fry, Bill Bryson, Clive James, David Sedaris and John Humphries because of their use of English.
I watch few films and barely know how to turn on the tv but 3 favourites are Il Postino, Life is Beautiful (both Italian) and my new favourite, Capernaum. I haven't seen many of his but will happily view anything by Pedro Almodovar.

Getting married, at 65, to the most amazing young woman. Glacier hiking in NZ. Having the opportunity to raise reasonably significant funds for charities that mean something to me (running from Hereford to London for the marathon pushing my postman's trolley was the best fun! www.witneytv.co.uk/videos/the-running-man)
