About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and really see how it is to live!

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty down to earth and like to take things one day at a time. I don't need to be rich, but to be rich in experience is the biggest gift I feel. I would like to help people more but I don't. I don't know why but it's something I would like to change. I work freelance in Melbourne as an Audio Engineer and now travel 2-3 months every year because I love meeting people from all over the world and have had so many amazing experiences because of that. I love to have a good time and a laugh. A great night out for me would be going out and dancing like a dick-head. I love having people around and meeting new people but I also enjoy getting lost in a strange city listening to my ipod on my own and just reflecting. I can at times be a liability because I often don't think things through. This is not a bad thing all the time because it has landed me in some funny situations.

PHILOSOPHY

What goes around comes around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My houses haven't really been suitable for hosting so I haven't hosted anyone, but I'm happy to meet up with people in Melbourne and show them around when I'm home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed through Australia and stayed with some great people. I also met a lot of like minded travellers and it made the experience so much more enjoyable.

Interests

I love music, and odd sounds. I would love to make some really weird soundscapes, but in future. I'm something of a musician, love to dj, make music as well as play the guitar and sing (semi-poorly! lol) I love weird art, things that I can look at for ages that are interesting looking. I'm massively into basketball. Enjoy reading, and really love spending time with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books; I love to read. Anything by Bret Easton Ellis, Haruki Murakami, Marching powder, Robert Goddard. Music biographies about bands and artists.
Movies; Snatch, requiem for a dream, the hangover, ghostbusters, pulp fiction and all of Quentin Tarantino's films. I don't know what else off the top of my head, but i do enjoy Arthouse films. I will give anything a go.
TV; curb your enthusiasm (Larry David is a King amongst men), breaking bad, prison break, seinfeld, Flight of the Conchords, South Park, doco's and more recently Homeland.
Music; blues, folk, rock, soul, disco, house, hip-hop, dubstep. I have really eclectic tastes. I love music festivals, and i love to make music. Some of my favourite artists are Radiohead, Kanye West (He's a dick, but he's talented), Fat Freddys Drop, City&Colour, Flying Lotus, Jeff Buckley (genius), James Blake, Mount Kimbie, Common, Tune-Yards, D'angelo, Carl Craig, Trentemoller, Bob Dylan, Metro Area, Kenny Dope, Moodymann, Florence and the Machine (You've got the love, amazing!), Buddy Guy, Erykah Badu, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings... the list goes on and on........
Food; Meat & chocolate. I could live off these things although i like to eat a pretty healthy diet so i can live till I'm 102!
But my absolute faves would have to be mexican and indian food.
