Overview
About Me
I live in a one-bedroom house in Midtown, Savannah, GA. I can host on my couch in the living room sometimes, but often I'm too busy to as I work two jobs. I smoke trees inside, smoking cigarettes may be done on the porch. There're bus-stops and mid-grade restaurants within walking distance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I host, I travel, and sometimes I am a guest.
Interests
Traveling: exploring places I've never been to, absorbing and experiencing different peoples and cultures, different customs and ways of life; reading; grappling; snowboarding; chess; sitting on benches in the centers of foreign cities; clubbing; racing cars at ridiculous speeds; aimless meandering; caring for pet cats, dogs, rats, and snakes; sitting on windowsills; invading other peoples' boats; sitting on random islands in profound contemplation, or with absolutely nothing on my mind at all; climbing on trees, castles, ruins, buildings, fences, cars, balconies, apartment buildings, mountains, and such climbable things; debating on various subjects--buy it's one of those things I need to be in the mood for; dancing; wondering what it's like to be a cow; hanging out with cows; cooking; table-tennis; emergency medical services; kayaking; trespassing; swimming; driving around aimlessly; poetry; befriending people and cats worldwide; defying expectations; skating; roller-blading; trying new things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen: .
--All I saw while driving from Reykjavik to Isafjourdur, Iceland, and back.
--PLACEBO, live in concert:
- June 2003 at Irving Plaza, Manhattan with Olivia; and December 2003 at Webster Hall, Manhattan, to which I brought my best friend Juan Carlos for his birthday.
- July 6th, 2006: The Heineken Open'Er Festival in Gdynia, Poland. Placebo played on the first night of the Festival, after openings by Manu Chao, Kanye West, Pharrel Williams. Obviously, I had Only come for Placebo.
- August 13, 2006, Bucharest, Romania--their FIRST concert in Romania EVER.
- August 25, 2007, Camden, NJ, USA, Projekt Revolution Tour--where I met them!
Icelandic Western Fjords
Gothenburg Archipalego
View from Petit Martinique
Museum, Tampere Finland, where Stalin and Lenin first met
Puerto Rican mangrove swamps
The Saint Vincent Boardwalk
Done:
Drove through and around Icelandic Western Fjords (and thrice looked demise in the eyes)
Speed-boated between different Caribbean nations;
Hitch-hiked to impromptu Placebo show w/Diana
Walked on a glacier
Walked to/from Albania with my friend Al Yates
Encircled, on foot, the Estonian Island Khinu, with my friend Laur Motus
Partied in Latvian Coastal town of Plienciems during MidSummer Festival in 2006, where Ediite Miller has beach house, with my friend Gylnara from Estonia
Visited Kyiv--first foreign city I have been to without the feeling of being a foreigner, or even a stranger.
While volunteering on my town's Ambulance Corpse, up in North Jersey, I:
-Lost many lives
-Saved one person, who died later
-On Tuesday, September 11th, 2001, all emergency services in North and Central New Jersey sent half of their fleets to Ground Zero. I was there that Tuesday. Amazing I would not call that experience. What is amazing is that I received the privilege of partaking in the biggest Mutal Aid call in the history of that part of the country. I was not able to save anyone. I did all I could for firefighters on the scene; but rendering actual medical care to people directly injured by the vicious attack, I did not respond in time for. The planes hit the towers around 9am. Explosives were detonated within each shortly after the collisions. I did not arrive until around 5pm that fateful Tuesday.
I think I have lived through many an experience, and posses many a story, and have many a time shrewdly and keenly observed and endured the human condition, that just may amaze many an individual. But not all.
Teach, Learn, Share
. Iceland: If driving in western fjords of Iceland, use an all-wheel-drive vehicle and watch for black ice (I literally almost died three times on Iceland's Road #1).. Puerto Rico: The lizards of Mayaguez are harmless and are fun to pick up. . Romania/Bulgaria border: If crossing borders from Bulgaria into Romania via Ruse, be advised that crossing on foot is not allowed (no pedestrians allowed on the bridge). If going on foot anyway, best approach is to just stand at the border and wait--someone, probably a cab, will stop by and offer a ride for a fair price. Works best if you are a girl, or have one with you (hitch-hiking 101).. Pregnancy: If you are pregnant, or trying to get pregnant, put yourself on 200 micrograms of folic acid daily until delivery, especially if you're from or have roots from the UK. And, "if you're on birth control AND you smoke, you're really asking for it..." - Dr. Goljan. Miami, DC, North Jersey, NYC (probably many other places but none that I can vouch for with first-hand knowledge/experience: Save your nerves and don't drive there.. Budapest: In spite of having the name of one airport (and in spite of me, I think), Budapest actually has two international "airports," that are called "Terminal 1," and "Terminal 2". The reason it does not exactly meet the definition of "one airport" is that there is 6 km between them. Knowing this fact would have saved me massive time and some money, and infinite frustration at the time. And so I warn about it here :)
