I am a backpacker trying to discover every country on my own. However usually I have only limited time to spend at a place, which inhibits me to go deep enough to understand the culture and find the hidden gems. So this is the point when couchsurfing community helps a lot.

Nowadays my wanderlust brings me mountainous regions or depths of the oceans. If I have the opportunity I take my SCUBA gear, climbing shoes/skis to explore new horizons.

This might sound exclusive but we experienced that we get along much better with surfers who know how to deal with the situation that involves lot of trust, giving, accepting and living together.
