About Me
CURRENT MISSION
independenizing to get my own drift
ABOUT ME
At least; father, independent thinker, minimalist, global soul, word mingler, free culture and FOSS proponent, paraglider, marathoner, software developer.
Have completely ditched alcohol and Microsoft Windows, trying to do the same with Facebook, TV and caffeine.
Dislikes the consumption-retardedness of the western culture.
I prefer quiet, self created and tranquil experiences in nature compared to overcrowded mainstream events.
My daugthers are born in 2001 and 2005.
PHILOSOPHY
At any given time, I am responsible for my situation, good or bad.
Now is the most awesome time I will have, ever.
Humans are more important than corporations.
Austerity makes my soul shine bright.
Proudly propels my life using resources abandoned by others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I really like the perspective of cultural exchange, and I think the concept of non-monetary accommodation swapping is great.
I have hosted people from Germany and Hungary a couple of times, and have surfed a single time in London, so I'm a relatively inexperienced CouchSurfer.
Interests
Responsible food and consumption habits
Democratizing technology and knowledge
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch that many commercial blockbuster movies, beeing forced to mention any it would be "people"-movies in the class of "Schindler's List", "Dances with Wolves" and "Avatar" (sci-fi edition of "Dances with Wolves").
Also documentaries like those from Michael Moore, or more alternative ones like "We Feed The World" (http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/we-feed-the-world/) and the Zeitgesit movies (http://zeitgeistmovie.com/) catches my drift.
I enjoy music in many genres. I default to electronica, from relaxing space blips to progressive trance beats. But all music with heart and real honest people behind reaches towards me.
I know a lot of books I want to read, I enjoy reading, but I have had trouble getting to it. I think my life is too busy, have to do something about that...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Beeing conceived and born was some ride I will not forget!
I passed the parenthood examination twice.
Awakening and accepting personal responsibility at the age of 32 was pretty good too.
