About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world... starting with south america!
ABOUT ME
I am a PhD student from denmark who likes to travel more than anything. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and experiencing their way of life.
I am determined to get the most out of my life, so i seek out challenges where i can find them. I enjoy going to the atypical places and in general try to stay away from the touristic sites when possible. Couchsurfing is great for this, since you can meet the local people who know where to go :)
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short and you only get one shot... make it count :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Most of my couchsurfing experience comes from the huge meetings in São Paulo, Brazil. Here i would go every week for half a year.
Now i am at home i Aalborg, where me and my friend are trying to initiate meetings.
I try to make people surfing with me comfortable and show them the sights in the city.
I try to be a good guest to the people i surf with, and i require little more than the area on the floor i take up or a couch. I am always up for going out with the people i surf with, as i dont just see couchsurfing as a source of free accommodation.
Interests
Photography is one of my major interest, surfing and learning how to cook food from all cultures.
I am also very interested in languages(dispite my limited proficiency at learning them), since i feel that a large part of the culture is connected to the language. Recently i have taken up portuguese for my stay i Brazil, and have continued studying it since returning to Denmark.
I guess i have more interests, but these sprung to mind :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Got up way early before sunrise with a bunch of friends and set out to climb aiguille du thule near mont blanc while the sun was rising. The view from the top was amazing :)
During my trip around Brazil, me and a dear friend decided to reach an "hippie" eco-village in Bahia (A northern state in Brazil). To reach it we had to go to a small town located right where a river went into the sea. Here we would go down to the habor and pay a local fisher to take us across the river in a canoo. Once on the other side we would walk along the coast for 1½ hours with almost no sign of civilization before reaching the village. On the road there we would see tons of crabs digging into the sand, vultures and washed up blue-bottle gellyfish. We even saw a big snake along the way, it was a real adventure :)
