Overview
About Me
Love getting smarter and meeting new kinds of people and consider myself open-minded (I guess I'm not very unique here on Couchsurfing...).
Half-Finn that unfortunately speaks very little Finnish.
Often told that I'm easy to talk with and that I smile a lot, but you can make up your own mind about that after we've met :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people (of all sorts) when traveling.
I'm a huge fan of the concept behind Couchsurfing. But for the time being, I'm unfortunately not able to host any surfers at my place. This is due to the fact that I live in a small one-bedroom apartment, and I wouldn't wish on anybody to sleep on my floor. Hope I will have the opportunity to accomodate other surfers sometime in the future.
But you are very welcome to contact me if you are visiting Copenhagen and want any recommendations or to meet up.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: generally read a lot, also non-fiction. Anything by Haruki Murakami or Michel Houllebecq is a safe bet. I'm also just about to pick up Tolstoy's War and Peace from my bookshelf (but that "just about to" has so far lasted two years...)
Movies: a favourite movie? Maybe Dr. Strangelove. Or a biopic about the Japanese author Yukio Mishima.
I'm a member of the local cinematheque in Copenhagen, so often go to watch lesser-known movies from other countries. I've been embarrassingly ill-informed for the last couple of years about mainstream Hollywood productions, however. So if you want, you are very welcome to bring me up to date about that :)
Music: I'm getting more and more into opera. Would love to attend more opera performances in the future.
Maybe it's because I'm learning Spanish, but I've begun to really enjoy listening to flamenco lately. It's a whole world to discover (of which I've only discovered a fraction)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning other languages.
Working in a kindergarten in China for six months (but to my regret I didn't learn much Chinese)
Growing a small urban garden from seeds on my balcony.
Going through life's ups and downs and learning from them.
So far, creating and using this CS account has been quite amazing, too :)
