About Me
Hi fellow travellers,
I'm Miki, from Budapest, Hungary.
Long story short:
I did my fair share of travelling, hitchhiking, couchsurfing, doing workaway and so on.
Now I'm here as a host, because I am settling down in my home country, but still I am happy to meet people from all over the world. It's like travelling without moving around.
In summer I'm a permaculture gardener, in winter I'm an ice-rink operator. Apart from that I do occasional waiting and renovate flats with my friend.
I'm vegan but don't let that bother you, I don't check others' plates. There is one request though: since I have a vegan household, I kindly ask, not to bring animal ingredients in the house. If you need any help with that (e.g.: what to buy, what to cook), I'm here for you.
If I have time, I will be happy to go out with you, show you some nice places.
About my home, the "Kisház":
Kisház means small house in Hungarian (kis ház). Nomen est omen, it is small indeed. It's in the garden of a big house, where my sister lives with her family.
It's located in the outskirts of Budapest, 30 mins from the city center by public transportation.
Though it's small, it has everything one needs to be comfortable. Bathroom, kitchen, sometimes even a cat.
There is no separate room,
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I find it a great way to meet and get to know people who otherwise you wouldn't meet. Randomity has it's magic.
