Finding my own path outside the dominant mainstream economic/political system, living off-grid in Portugal since 3 years

ABOUT ME

I am originally from Geneva, although I have not lived there for 14 years now, having lived in Scotland, England, Germany and Portugal for lengthy periods. I love nature and meeting people from different paths of life and cultures.

My aim is to live a simple, independent, free and meaningful life and to be as self-sufficient as possible. I try to live close to nature and to my values and principles. This is why I live where I live and the way I live, without heating and electricity in a little wooden cabin on friends' land, practising and learning every day about self-sustainability.

Little warning, you wont find me on Facebook, or any other social media.

Travelling for travelling is not my thing, I like to get to know a place, its history, its traditions, through meeting local people and learn about their lives and their thoughts, and share simple moments

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only surfed so far. Also we have been welcoming lots of people on the land through other channels, eg. Warm showers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some great couchsuring experiences in Estonia, Finland, Hungary and Portugal and would like this to continue :)

Greatly varies depending on my mood and season. Listening to music and watching movies have become very rare since moving into my wooden hut. Reading whatever books I can find or the ones gently left behind by visitors
