About Me
Hey to everyone! My name is Mila (which is short from Liudmila), I'm 33 and I was born and currently live in Nizhny Novgorod. I had to work as a teacher of English or German after my studies, but it was not my dream and due to some circumstances I began to work as logistics specialist. I like my job a lot because I'm busy with international deliveries and have a chance to use at least English for my job) I also can teach Russian as a foreign language if necessary and also my big love is hair styling. Due to being busy at my full time job I don't have so much time for hair styling, but still if someone asks (I like doing wedding hair-styles or for some special events).
After graduating from the university I moved to Germany for a year to work as au-pair girl, it was a great unforgettable experience, and actually this was the start for my trips in Europe. I'm in love with Europe and ready to come back every time I have a chance.
I also travelled a lot in Russia and some neighbouring countries and have many plans so far...
What should I say about me as a personality? - I always thought that when we talk about ourselves we are a bit subjective), better ask those people who know us or meet us, they might be more objective. But till I don't have any responses from my guests or hosts I should say (and you've to believe me or check) that I'm friendly, open-minded, polite and hospitable, love my life and try to live here and now, I like to learn, read and talk to people (especially those who are older than me and ready to share their experience), I think that people are good till they prove it's different...
As for my preferences: I don't eat meat and everything that contains meat, but I don't mind if people around me eat meat. I love to drink and enjoy a good cup of cappuccino or latte very much, or even a glass of good white wine). I like walikng along the streets, meeting friends, going out alone or with a company (I mean a cafe or bar or pub, concert, cinema, theatre, but no discos), I like going to the gym and cycling (when I go to my parents), I like cooking, especially smth new from different cuisines and many other things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about CS from one girl and was interested to know what is that. I liked the idea of CS and registered here, later I heard about this community from a guy who came to visit Nizhny Novgorod and an experience at being hosted in different countries. I think CS can be helpful at not only finding a place where to stay while travelling but also at finding friends all over the world. It's a commutnity which not only allows to find a host, but also connects people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: When I was younger I liked rock music a lot, but now I prefer chillout music or sometimes reggae. But if there is a live music, I'll enjoy almost everything)))
Books: I like reading books in Russian, English and German and sometimes it doesn't even matter whether it's a detective story or a novel, I also like books in astrology and psychology. There are for sure several favourites, which are always in my heart, like: "Loneliness on the Net" by Janusz Leon Wisniewski, Brothers Struackie, White Bim Black Ear by Gavriil Troepolski, books by John Fowles, Ray, Bradburry, Dan Brown, etc...
Films: let me think... the worst point is that I watch films, like them a lot... and forget and can't remember the title or sometimes actors, shame on me((( I like films directed by Leonid Gajdai, Karen Shakhnazarov, Tarantino, Pedro Almodovar, etc... films like Notebook, Avatar, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Holiday...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a student took part at summer camp Tandem for Russian and Austrian students, that was really lovely, 3 weeks of unfrogetable experience, talks, studies, amuzing evenings.
Went to Germany for a year to work as au-pair girl in a family with 3 children.
This year celebrated my birthday in Italy (without family, friends) for the 1st time so far from home)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm sure that if we meet someone in our life, that means that either we can learn something from him/her or teach him/her or exchange our experience, knowledge, good mood, friendship, whatever...
For me it'll be a pleasure if I can give you some of my knowledge or experience: for example, I can teach you Russian, or how to cook some traditional Russian dishes, or also tell you some stories from my trips and just life)
On my turn, if I come to you, I'll be very happy if you could share some information about your city and country, some traditions and rules, because as a foreigner, I'm very curious about everything what happens around...
And if you could teach me how to cook some traditional dishes, it would be rally great!
In any case, I'll be pleased to meet you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experience in travelling, in what I learnt from different books and films, from meeting other people. I would be glad to tell you about my coutry and city if you are interested in this and sure I can bring something special from my country as a small present to you (it would be great if you know what you'd like to get as a souvenier from Russia)))
