About Me

I laugh loudly. I live for adventures. I enjoy meeting new people.

Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, I moved to Edinburgh for my studies in 2012. I spent a year abroad in Vienna and fell in love with the city. If I ever learn to speak German fluently, I'll move back there, find a job as a librarian (or anything that allows me to be around books) and eat Sauerkraut and Strudel till I pass out. Yes, I do realise this is a horrible food combo.

Currently, I'm waiting for my PhD to begin in October. In the meantime, I'm educating myself about wine and the finer things in life while waitressing in a lovely wine bar and restaurant here in Edinburgh.

PHILOSOPHY

...of constant movement and change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and probably offering a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best friend and I couchsurfed for 3 days in Zagreb and then hitchhiked to Sofia. On our way, we stopped in Belgrade, where we found a couch for the night, and on the next day we successfully reached our final destination. The existence of a word that can describe the experience is still unknown.

In September 2013 I travelled the same route, but backwards: from Sofia to Zagreb by train, visiting my old hosts, who by that time had become dear friends of mine. I celebrated my birthday both in Belgrade and Zagreb and couldn't be happier.

I've also occasionally hosted people. Since I live with other people and my flat is already crowded, I can't really offer a place unfortunately.
