I come from the Czech Republic, but I've been living in Barcelona since 2019. I work as a technical writer for a global IT company where I write software documentation in English.

I have a master's degree in teaching English as a second language, and I used to work as an English tutor and a translator from English into Czech.

I love learning foreign languages – I speak English and Spanish, and I'm currently working on my German and Catalan.

I read a lot, and I'm a huge movie buff. l enjoy playing the piano, and I'm really into chess, playing board games, and poke. I play table tennis in a club.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a technical writer a geek -- I'll be happy to share my knowledge of how to work productively on a computer and what constitutes good technical writing.

I'm an English teacher at heart, and enjoy helping other people with their English. I love learning languages and I'm always ready to discuss various attitudes and approaches toward language learning. I love linguistics in general.

I play the piano, mostly self-taught. I usually download chords to rock/pop songs, and figure out how to play the song. I'm not that much into practising scales and études. We can play and sing together, and I can teach you a bit of what I play and how.

I juggle and it's something that I really enjoy doing because I'm otherwise rather clumsy. I can teach you the basics. I'm learning to juggle with five balls, and some more advanced tricks with three balls.

I like chess and can play with you, give you some tips or teach you a bit – depending on your level.

I can teach you how to shuffle a deck of cards effectively – in-hands riffle shuffle with the bridge finish.

We can play some fun local co-op games on my Nintendo Switch connected to the TV, or we can watch a film or movie together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

You'll have a double bed with fresh sheets in a separate bedroom – I'm comfortable sleeping on the sofa in the living room (the sofa is not foldable).

You can use the bathroom, the kitchen, and use the washing machine (I don't have a dryer).

I'll be happy to give you tips about Barcelona and if there's time, show you around the neighborhood.
