About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Why not?!
ABOUT ME
I spent 6 months abroad in 2011 with my housemate and fellow Couch Surfer Hannah travelling around South America and I decided to return in 2013. I'm currently living in Melbourne and working my mobile freelance marketing & communications business. I enjoy working hard, but whenever I get the opportunity to be spontaneous I love a good road trip, camping excursion or day at the beach. I am a social person and enjoy the challenge of meeting new people and breaking the ice. I am incredibly laid back and enjoy good analytical chat and friendly banter over a wine or beer.
PHILOSOPHY
Never judge a book by its cover...you might miss a best seller. Be a YES wo/man. You never know where the road will take you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted numerous couch surfers in the past and have been a couch surfer myself. I am currently unable to host, however I would love the opportunity to meet with people and practice my Spanish or help them with their English.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted several times in Brisbane (sometimes under the joint profile of my housemate) and it was always a success. When I travelled to South America the first time in 2011 I had my first surfing experience, and was blown away by the hospitality and eagerness of my hosts to show me a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read 'Shantaram' while overseas. I also read 'Eating Animals' and as a result am now Vegetarian. I prefer to read non-fiction books and watch documentaries. Favourite movie is 'Labyrinth', with David Bowie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked a puma twice a day for a month in the Bolivian jungle. And then I went skydiving. Both equally as thrilling in their own right.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to work on my current basic level of both Japanese and Spanish to become fluent. I used to be a personal trainer/bootcamp instructor. I can also teach some basic circus acrobalance moves, and I fold a pretty mean origami crane in record time for anybody interested in learning :)
