About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling and volunteering in all over the world and creating global peace and friendship!

ABOUT ME

I am a daddy of two kids. I might be a bit quite at the beginning, but will be getting talkative in a few minutes. I am an open-minded and adaptable person. I love social and voluntary services a lot. And, getting addicted to traveling. I am always excited to meet new people from another part of the globe and share life stories and experiences.

I have been volunteering while traveling, both in Indonesia and abroad. It's amazing how life can be so colorful with all the diversity.

Currently I am running a boat school called The Floating School. You my check it on istagram @thefloatingschool or www.thefloatingschoolid.org It's my social initiative that I am doing on my island. So I teach kids on the island for free. I think that's the only thing that I can give back to my community after being so blessed with opportunities that I have in my life.

I also collect postcards so I am up for postcards swap.

PHILOSOPHY

Individually we change ourselves, together we change the world

The strangers are friends that we just haven't met yet :)

Alert: One of our kids is just 7 months old :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Met some CS folks in France in 2009, experienced the great hospitality of the Couchsurfer, and got myself signed up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really love the idea of Couchsurfing University, a school where everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher. It always amazes me on how it works! So far, my experience is all positive +++ I have been a good friend to almost all people that I met through Couchsurfing, especially the ones I hosted and the ones who hosted me. Mostly I meet them again somewhere on this planet by any chance. It's cool!

Interests

I am interested in arts (music, photography, and drawing), voluntary service, football (although I don't play it), youth activities, discussion (politics, religion, social and environmental issue, economics, etc), traveling, cooking and collecting postcards (deltiology).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fasting while traveling for almost a month in Malaysia, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach Indonesian language and culture if you are interested. I am good at PowerPoint so if you are up for a bit serious thing... this will be a fun thing to do as well.

But one thing I will do for sure is to cook Indonesian dishes for my host. I am a good home cook, anyway.

Life in Indonesia is crazy and amazing at the same time. And my volunteer experience for the past 10 years is also spectacular. I'd love to share it all with you as it may spark new ideas.
