About Me

I've called home Salamanca, London, Santiago do Chile and São Paulo.

My passion is getting to know different people and places while travelling solo and sharing my experiences throught writing and photography. Since 2016 I have a blog where I share my stories. I see travelling as a tool for empowerment, and I also aim to inspire other latin women to be more confident and independent while travelling - alone or not.

I like to travel slowly and to meet local people in their daily lives. Tourist spots are not my priority while I am travelling, I prefer to go to local restaurants, local markets, walk leisurely on the streets, have a beer and chat about life.

In Aug-Set 2021, I'm getting back to the road after almost two years. That sad pandemics kept us far from our passions, now I'm vaccinated and feel more safe to retrieve a bit of my normal life :)

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I like The Doors, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd and Beatles. I'm also a big fan of Brazilian music: Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Jorge Ben Jor...

BOOKS: Gabriel García Márquez (One Hundred Years of Solitude, Living to Tell the Tale, Chronicle of a Death Foretold...), I really admire him,
I also like to read travel blogs, like Viajando Por Ahí (ARG), Adventurous Kate (USA), Viaje na Viagem (BRA) among others

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned to ride an unycicle instead of a bycicle when I was a child and at the age of 33, I am trying to ride a bike - with little sucess.

I won the National Mathematical Olympiad at the age of 14 and tried to hide the congratulations banner put in front of my school before my new boyfriend saw it. It was so nerdy I was sure he would brake up with me. I didn't manage to hide but we stayed together for two years.

I started to think about to being a journalist when I, an advertising student, was hired by mistake as a journalist trainee.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help you with your English, Portuguese or Spanish. If you have or want to have a wordpress blog I can lend you a hand.

I can help you organize your closet, storeroom or garage.

I really like to help my hosts with their housework - cooking, dishwasing, pet care (I love pets)... It's my way to say thanks to the people that open their houses and lives for me :)
