I'm very passionate about human and animal rights and I believe every soul is beautiful no matter what the exterior (I'm still trying to get over that with bugs though haha). I love people and having fun but after some time of stimulation I need to go a bit into myself to recharge. Helping people is something I strive to do, and I love to help people see their self worth and find unconditional love within for themselves, which will in turn help them see it in others. One of my biggest goals in life is to help people, if they're willing to except it, through music and creativity. I love and appreciate all forms of art, and I try to keep an open mind towards everything and everyone. I like history and I believe life's a big adventure, and no matter how hard the journey may be at times, that's part of what makes it so special, unique, and beautiful. I'm into astrology, crystals, oracle cards, nature, holistic/energy healing (I'm a certified Reiki energy healer), and a bunch of other things. The ocean has a very healing affect on me, and I strive to constantly keep in touch with my spirituality and to better myself. We are not meant to be stagnant, even trees change with the seasons, growing as the years pass. Normal is odd to me and I think we should strive towards being ourselves instead of whatever it is we think other people want us to be. I'm pretty silly and I like to keep my inner child alive, but that doesn't mean that I'm immature, just fun :D. We've gotta learn to laugh more and live life, not just exist. I have a deep appreciation for different cultures, and traditions. Spelling was never my strong suit, but thank goodness for autocorrect, google, and my best friend! I also like tea and philosophical/deep conversations. When I was younger I used to think our universe is in a round fish tank in a Giant's house, and that the result repeated infinitely, and it's still something that I ponder form time to time haha.
Or how every atom in our body is a tiny solar system which would in turn make US a universe, within a universe, who knows maybe our universe is just an atom on a giants body?

Experiencing the world and traveling is something that I really feel a calling to do (like most people on here), and I'm excited to find and meet new people that are willing to share their journey with me! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel like my heart has been calling me to travel and I just kept creating stories in my head that I couldn't do it, or I wouldn't be able to make the money, etc. And I realize that there is an incredible community here on couch surfing full of supportive people who may have similar dreams and callings as me. I'd love to be able to meet new people, and have new experiences with people from other countries, as well as get to know a country from the perspective of a local. I want to see how people from this new place live their lives, and see the off beaten tracks, what the local scene is like, as well as the touristy scene. I want to have incredible conversations and interactions with people who see life in a similar way that I do, as an adventure.

Interests

I love music! It's definitely something that I don't think I could live without. I sing, and one of the things I love to sing is opera, I feel like it helps me set free my soul! I'm also really passionate about self-expression and embracing the self! I also love crystals and rocks, and I have a collection that I'm always contributing too. I am also vegan, and am extremely passionate about equality and rights for every living thing, I just have a hard time excepting that with bugs haha (but I won't shove my beliefs in your face! ) I'm really big on self development and outer space, and astrology, and creativity. I also like writing :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I love all types of music as long as it's not offensive or degrading. I also like music with a story, whether it's told with words or just instruments. I also LOVE listening to music from other cultures, and exploring cultures through music. You can really learn a lot about a country based on their music.
I love Trevor Hall, Janis Joplin, Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday, Foo Fighters, Passenger, Muse, Aerosmith, Journey, Scorpions, Queen, Dean Martin, Mayday Parade, Bon Jovi, Tribal Seeds, The Gaslight Anthem, Classical music in general, Opera and there are just so many other artists/bands/genres. I also like to listen to mantras and chants :)

In regards to books: I love reading self-help books, fantasy books, historical books, as well as poetry books.

Movies: I like romance comedies, documentaries, historical movies, fantasy, philosophical stuff, the only thing I really can't do is horror

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was younger I always put my family first, their opinions first, what they wanted first, and one day when I was in college (I only went because they wanted me too) I realized that I was seriously depressed, and felt stuck, and without a purpose, so I finally did something I've been thinking about for months, I dropped out! And since then I've worked at a Renaissance Faire, and got initiated into Reiki, and gotten my first pair of little tattoos, all things my family were against at first, but brought me much joy! And I've also learned that I shouldn't worry about pleasing them, because at some point they'll get over it. I think it's one of the most amazing things I've done so far, because I actually took a stand for me and realized that what I wanted mattered. Now I'm all about supporting dreams and things that seem far fetched. And that one decision (dropping out of college) has helped turn my life into an incredible, unpredictable, journey, and I love it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm vegan (hopefully that's okay), and by no means a professional chief, but I would love to be able to cook for us at least once, and have a lovely meal together as we get to know each other. Also if anyone is interested we could do a Reiki energetic massage and crystal healing, as well as oracle card readings and a brief astrology chart reading (if you know your birth time). And if you're willing we could talk about the universe, and life, and everything! I can also make some pretty silly faces, so if you'd like to challenge me, I will accept!
