About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make tomorrow different from today!
--------------
I have moved back to Sweden (as od December 2023).
---------------

ABOUT ME

I come from a small town in North Macedonia. I lived the boring town life until moving to Skopje to go to a Turkish school for a couple years, and then to the middle of nowhere in Wales to attend a "school for hippies" (UWC Atlantic College) with folks from all over the world. Took a gap year, did as many Erasmus+ projects as I could, and then settled down in Boston to study environmental engineering. Then I decided it was time to be on the move again, so I went to London for a year. I also spent a summer in Norway learning Norwegian. I then returned across the pond to Boston for another year. After I completed my degree, I decided it was time to leave "the land of the free" and come back to Europe. And there I was, working with an environmental NGO in Dalmatia for nearly a year. I then decided it was time to study again, so I made my way to Sweden to delve into sustainable technology. After 3 years of being on and off in Sweden, I moved to work in Luxembourg at an EU institution for a few months. I have just finished with that and am now back in Sweden.

But, regardless of where I am, my favourite thing is having a good coffee, good beer, or a good cocktail, and a person to talk to about how to change the world. I'll add picking up new languages on the way to the list (fun fact: I learnt Spanish by watching Mexican telenovelas).

PHILOSOPHY

Life's a beach and I'm just tannin'.
In translation, I try not to stress about things and try to think that I can learn something out of every situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Deep house, jazz, indie (and pretty much anything depending on mood, except gospel I guess). When it comes to names, here are some: Milky Chance, Chet Faker, Vance Joy, Kygo, Robin Schulz, Mashrou Leila, Calle 13, Karpe Diem, Hozier, Kaleo, FKJ, Masego, Cigarettes After Sex, Alt-J, Nicolas Jaar...
Books: The Magic Skin, Things Fall Apart, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Small is Beautiful by Schumacher to list a few... Also historical, political, philosophical literature.
Movies (my amazement by movies depends on my mood and the person I'm discussing it with so wait till we discuss favourite movies together) ;) Hint: I like Almodovar. Historical movies too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studied and lived for 2 years in a 12th-century castle in Wales (just like Hogwarts) with students from more than 90 different countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you languages. You can also teach me languages. I can talk to you about the Balkans and its shit politics. (Despite that, I will still convince to visit.) You can also tell me about the good and bad shit going on where you come from. I can also talk about how nice (and cold) life in Sweden can be. Most importantly, I can talk a lot about current events, politics, ideology, and deep philosophy over a drink.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun stories, travel advice for Balkans (and other places) among other things. I can also teach you how to take Ryanair to court.
