About Me
Hello all!
My name is Milena, I’m 23yo Polish, I studied communication management and before starting my master degree, I decided to do some interesting things (and leave my comfort zone again!).
The idea behind joining couchsurfing was simple – I wanted to travel as much as I can, explore new places, meet and connect with amazing people and learn more about the world. Few things that I love (besides traveling of course):
- taking photos (my memory is terrible, I don’t remember what I was doing last week, so I like to document things this way)
- writing
- hiking
- finding quirky things on flea markets (love giving things new live, I prefer buying in thrift shops and not get crazy with consumerism)
- meditating and soul searching (although there are many distractions, I realize that real life is here and now and I like going back to myself as often as I can)
- art (whenever I’m in new place I must visit museum or art gallery. I’m not knowledgeable at all and don’t feel confident talking about art, but being around it makes me so happy).
About my long-stay travel experience: in the past I've been doing work&travel in USA for three months and volunteering in Bulgaria for two months, where I worked in two orphanages and center for mentally disabled children. Voluntering has been really great experience for me so far and I like to say "when you feel helpless, help someone". It guided me to good places:)
“The Universe has my back” is my mantra, I just go with the flow of life and try to spread love and positivity everywhere
Although I’m introvert, I love meeting and connecting with people! So, maybe we could meet and share some stories? :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why would I stay at hotel/hostel, be on my own, bored and lonely, when I can crash at somebody's couch, drink tea (perhaps) together, talk and get to know more about the city from locals? That makes no sense :D Couchsurfing for me is NOT only a way to travel on a budget. It's another way to connect with amazing people <3
