Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am turning 30 this year and after a few years of no activity on this website, I am trying to start to be at bit more spontaneous again and try to find some time for myself und meet up with people in unknown places.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Traveling is such an exciting way of living. It expands your horizon and opens your mind to the complexity of cultures and opinions on this planet, people, lifestyles,... It makes you smile and it wakes you up. I love meeting new people and doing spontaneous stuff. I rather couchsurf than stay at hostels because it is easier to get to know the city and the country and it is always nice to meet people. Just as much as I like to see other places I like to show others my city and to see the city from this different point of view. Great project!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All my couchsurf experiences have been great so far. It was always inspiring, just seeing other peoples places and staying yet with a total stranger eases the possibility to get to know a city, a culture. It is amazing how many people there are, wanting to open their doors to welcome others. The first time I had couchsurfers staying at my place was just as inspiring as it is going to a different contry. I was able to show my city, my country in a way and then look at it in a way that I have not known before. CS opens up and teaches us so much starting off from a random coincidence.

Interests

I love Arts. But Arts is so complex, everything can be considered as art and this is maybe why I find it amazing to find art in little things. dancing, talking, walking, whatever can be considered as art and probably that only works if we stop to run around, from one appointment to the other. History, especially the history of architecture is something incredible for me. To be honest, I can not think of anything specific that cannot be interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like electronic/techno music but many different kinds as well. I don't like Heavy Metal, Scream, this kind too much.
Books: Hermann Hesse, Milan Kundera, Javier Marias, Patrick Süßkind's "Perfume" just to name some that are inspiring.
Movies: Too many to choose from...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving is awesome, just to tell one out of a million amazing things there are to do.
