About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To stay calm, meet fabulous and wonderful people, and savor every precious second of life

ABOUT ME

I like to think i'm a pretty wonderful person, trying to stay inside the cart of life while the roller coaster goes up, down, around and around. I absolutely love meeting new people that don't suck :) I have a passion for traveling, but would rather stay in a place for 6 months instead of 6 days. I went to Paris and didn't even see the Louvre; that's how much I hate typical tourist stuff. Can't get enough of local bands, artists, music, but also dig a little Britney Spears and Madonna to shake my booty too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a two bedroom apartment that I share with a roommate, but it has a very large living room. I splurged and got the BEST Aero bed, and it's excited to have surfers on it :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had over 10 people stay with me, including a band (that I never met b/c our hours didn't match up, but they were great sleepers). I've stayed with one other surfer, who later came and stayed with me, which was awesome! I attempted to meet up with some surfers in Havana, Cuba, but I could not find them at the party they said they were at. Met some great people anyhow!

Interests

yoga, running, teaching, learning, listening, lifting, farting (did I say that??), local music, concerts, camping, huntin for hoes (that's a 40 year old virgin reference), food, understanding why i don't date well...all kinds of s$@#!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching middle school students in Washington D.C., Colorado, and the Dominican Republic was absolutely the most amazing thing I've ever done. There is nothing like exposing fresh spongey brains to powerful literature, or having a struggling writer share their first short story with you. It blows my mind every time and it feeds my soul.
